Contact lenses

Exam, fitting and follow-up

A contact lens exam adds measurements of the front of your eye to the comprehensive exam. The fitting visits and the lenses are billed separately, and each is on your written estimate.

  • A comprehensive eye exam first

  • A fitting with trial lenses

  • A follow-up check, then a written prescription

  • Your prescription is yours: a copy after the fitting is finished

The steps

From first fitting to your own supply

  • 01

    Exam and measurements

Dr. Meijer measures the front of your eye and talks through the kinds of lenses that suit it.

  • 02

    Trial lenses

You wear a trial pair and learn to insert and remove them.

  • 03

    Follow-up

A check in a week or two shows how the lenses sit and feel.

  • 04

    Your prescription

When the fitting is finished you get a copy, and you can fill it anywhere.

Our policy

Your prescription is yours

Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy of your contact lens prescription when the fitting is finished. If a seller calls to verify it, we confirm it.

Ask about contact lenses
